The Transportation Revolution benefitted the north the most with railroads while the south was dug into slavery. The Market Revolution changed both the North and South by changing a mercantilist based economy into a capitalist economy. The industrial revolution itself created more jobs in factory based environments. Tensions grew between the two as they became to grow more apart when the north was transitioning into industrial work when the south depended on agriculture.
